Default How do I test a Idle Air motor?

Car started idling like crap last night I jumped under the hood un plugged it and it didn't make any difference. I'm going out now to check for codes. Thanks in advance.

You can watch the IAC position on any scantool if you have one. It should fluctate slightly and open (increase) as you bop the throttle.

Also if you have a scan tool you should be able to adjust RPM which is the IAC.
