ok well i would like to get my tires powdercoated, but i dont want to have to remount my tires.

plastidip was the perfect color... but its not lasting for ****.

so i was wondering... how would some nice wheel paint do?

i want a flat black/satin black that looks like
the same color as plastidip

i figure some 800 grit sand paper then 1000 to smooth it

followed by some filler primer and some 1000 wet sand

followed by some more primer and 2000 wet sand

clean em up and but 3 or 4 coats of some nice flat black paint thru a paint gun

and them 3 or 4 coats of non gloss clear coat?

any suggestions?

I've had some great results with mearly a light scuffing and cleaning of the wheel followed by primer and paint then clear using duplicolor wheel paint. It really does work great if the surface is preped properly. I've rushed a a set before and they come out like ****, but have painted 6 sets iirc and with the exception of the one I've been very happy with the durability as well.
