I was researching around a bit, and my friend has a 2000 z28 Camaro A4 and its with overdrive, I have been looking for a Trans AM and I found one its a 2001 and it doesn't have overdrive? It has 3rd gear? Can anyone give me some info on this?

So, you are referring to the markings on the shifter bezel?

They are the exact same transmision. The gear selector just reads differently. The 3 in the Camaro is the same as D in the Trans Am. The D in the Camaro is the same as OD in the TA. Both have OD. Just doesn't show it on the gear selector. 4th gear=OD
