Western Members - Tuner in San jose, Ca

I'm in San Jose, CA and I will need to find a new shop that can tune an LS3 with a cam.
The shop I used to go is no longer in my area.

Can anyone help with throwing out some shops that are legit and good at tuning.

You got it lucky man, I have to drive 2-3 hours for the nearest reputable tuner.

Sounds like you may want to consider www.NOT-A-SPONSOR.com.org.gov.net.edu in Campbell like someone mentioned above. I considered going to them to tune my ported/pullied Lightning, but have no personal experience; but they are close.

Also interesting about the bad blood with Synergy, I am in the same boat.

I will give them a call on monday. and they wouldbe right around the corner from me. So I can :drive: and bang some gears.

As for the bad blood. It happened about 7? years ago. You find out who your real friends are. But thats all in the past. and no one should live in it. Just learn from it.

Synergy, TPS, and Goodies all do good work... Ive been to all 3 shops

I'm with you on this my friend. What's a good price for It?
I don't even think goodies charges that much. N they are $135 an hour.

$550 is the going rate for a top notch tuner. Rick has years of experience which commands that price.

Yeah, he does know his stuff. But I was the guinie pig when he first started. ended up blowing the motor he built cause it was to lean.

But I dont think it was really between us. I think it was more of our woman that caused it. lol.

Women and racing friends do not equal a solid mixture. lol.

Your talking about Jr he is the one that got Rick dialed in on his tuning if i remember correct...Jr moved out to oregon somewhere...

i travel 1 1/2 hours for my tuner up in sac . . . i wont go to any shop in the bay area, i've have issues with the 2 big ones specifically and one lied about my tune and still let me go on my way

He goes to Mark Romans here in Sac, Mark also does all my motor base tuning and I handle all the nitrous tuning. Couldnt ask for more from a very knowledgable and down to earth guy who likes what he does, and does it for fun

@kingnothing you go to force fed? does Shawn at AED tune LSX ??FORCEFED is a complete joke ever since they left the shop in Yuba city. I took my car there for a conversion to an LS3and T56, and all disc brakes. Car was there for over 6 months. and not even a 1/4 of the work was done.
Had to show up one day and just take the car out and finish it myself. :burn:
