General Maintenance & Repairs - What oil for a camm'd motor

Can i run 10w-40 for a ls1 with a ms3 cam???

Any one think there is a better choice, i dont want any oil pressure issues

I run mobile 1 5w30 with zinc additive

appreciate the info, would 10-40 be a bad choice though?

The builder/sponsor I use uses mobile1 0w40. He swears by it. Thats whats in my head cam car now.

i dont see a problem running 10w-40 just make sure its mobil1

I threw 40w Mobil 1 down my engines throat, oil pressure is perfect. Had some qts left over from doing my dads viper so decided to use it after my swap.
