Default Thoughts on 416 build (pistons/coatings/compression)

Thoughts on calico coatings for piston tops and side skirts on AutoTec pistons?

About 90% on going 416ci LS3 with LS3 top end right now. The motor in question has the mentioned coatings and pistons with callies rotating assembly.

N/A build.

Also, thoughts on compression to shoot for to maximize N/A purposes?

11.5:1

Pump gas is a must.

If I were to do it, it would have the small bore LS7 heads from TSP instead of the LS3's. Keep the compression between 11.5-12:1 for pump gas. Where are you located? If you have access to e85 you can run more compression than that to maximize your N/A potential.

I had AES coat all bearings and side skirts and I got my ls3 heads milled to 12.1 to 1 comp. on a hot azz day it put down 515/490 on a mustang dyno. I should of gone with a cam that had more exhaust duration though. My fast was starting to pull vaccum at 6200 do that means I wasn't getting the exhaust out fast enough. Just my .2

Autotec started off making pistons for sprint cars and is growing not bad for the money imo. coating the pistons will help to control some of the heat in them. you need to shot for 12.5 to 1 for an N/A pump motor.

What about water/meth injection to help with tuning and high compression?
