No intercooler or tune on just 6 pounds with 10.4 to 1 compression. Detonation will kill your motor quick especially in the summer heat. Have you data logged to see what kinda timing the computer is pulling out?

Even tuned this is not going to make much power, expect to be walked on by the average heads/cam car.

IMO the above estimate of 390rwhp is a wild pipedream I would be surprised if it made 360rwhp on as cast heads stock cam.

Far as addressing the tune where do you live?

The cost to get it set up correctly could be several grand with intercooler piping and tune. It may be more cost effective to pull the blower and sell it. Take the cash and get some head work, cam and tune. or knock the boost down a bit, tune it and run it. 96 Caprice is from your neck of the woods and I'm sure he can hook you up with a quality tune.

Agree, pull the s/c off. Your on borrowed time.

Have the bottom end built with lower compression and forged internals if you want reliabe power.

I would guess MAYBE $2.5K Tops depending on the condition but most likely $1,500. If you got that out of it, I would use that cash for a heads and cam package personally. You gotta realize that boosting that stock motor with no tune is just asking for trouble. I would definitely sell the supercharger unless you have the money to build a good forged motor (5K +).

Just tune it man.

6#s is fine on stock shortblock, just needs a tune. Later on you can get some head work, or if you wanna spend some cash rebuild it with new rods/pistons/rod bolts and cam it and up the boost.

I would not sell it if you already have it.

**** all the noise, tune that bitch on a Dyno and stay within your bottomend and fueling capabilities it'll live longer than most of these nut swingers want to admit.. I wouldn't go over 8psi tops.. So stay with that 6# pulley ,pull the spark plugs and read them, make sure to put in some colder than stock NGK or autolights gapped at .035 and get to a tuner before you even build boost one more time ... I can't believe someone installed the SC and ran on no tune.... Then again it's not that hard to believe..
Does it have new injectors, fuel pump hotwire kit or fuel pump?
