Default Trickflow 215's and MS3

Thinking of doing some trickflow 215cc heads on my stock shortblock with the MS3 cam.The heads are 59cc chambers. Will I be 'ok' with the ptv clearance? What head gaskets?

Or you can save money and do this with no PTV worries if you don't have the MS3 already.. https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...cator-cam.html

That will not clear! You will need less cam, or a different head with more valve drop!

It is not going to clear with the heads being milled.

Why does it have to be 59cc chambers?

We have numerous heads that will work. Our ported GM casting Stage 1 LS6, Stage 2.5 LS6, and Stage 2.5 5.3L heads all work when setup for that cam. Also we can setup the PRC 215's and 227's to clear. Of course the TrickFlow 215's will clear it if they have not been milled as well!

We offer all of the heads I've mentioned at competitive pricing and would be happy to help!

Not that I recommend it...but my RapTR cam (236/242 .615 .615 111 LSA) cleared 215's w/ 59cc chambers.

Pretty sure that cam is bigger than the MS3 also.

What was your minimum pistons to valve clearance?

It is very close when it comes to piston to valve clearance.

Do you have the 5.3 heads in stock currently? Last time I emailed you guys you didnt have any or know if ya was goning to get any. Id like to get the most compression/power from a set of heads without flycutting with the ms3. What head would I be lookin at there?

What makes you think that 5.3s have smaller chambers than TFS 215? Aren't the 215s 64cc??Not to mention the 5.3s can't hold a candle next to the 215s

Funny. The TFs 220s clear in my engine. I better not say anything to it or it may change the game. Yrs milled and a .040 gasket. Sorry. MS3 on a 113.
