Default Base to WS6 sway bar swap worth it?

I have a Base Trans Am and have an opportunity to buy both a rear and front WS6 sway bar for 1/4th of the price of aftermarket ones. I daily drive my car and occasionally will go to the strip. Is it worth it to do the swap or would I be better off looking for aftermarket ones?

well the rear bar is exactly the same so that's not worth swapping lol, I didn't notice a huge difference going from 30 to 32mm but that's just me

It is a nice difference. Just add new bushings and end links while you are swapping it out.

this is a good idea, you also have to realize the shocks were better on the WS6/SS models so you wont get the full potential out of it, but i still think you would be better off with an aftermarket one. i went from a WS6 front to an aftermarket UMI piece and WOW, what a difference. and by the time you get to getting new end links and bushings, i think you would be better off and alot happier with an aftermarket piece

I put the 32mm front bar on my T/A, and it was well worth it. I paid 50 for the swaybar, and since I had a connection at the parts store, I paid like 15 bucks for poly bushings and endlinks. Well worth it IMO.

Lightbulb

Pretty much this.

I put the Strano sways on my SS -- big change, love it.

Put the SS sways on my RS and new poly bushings & links, nice change, but not as satisfying as the Strano sways.

All depends on $ available, get the hollow Stranos if you have the dough.

Just do the bushing and endlinks, i doubt your pushing the car "really hard" to need serious parts under it. Plus if your on regular tires they wont hold great. -just being realistic..

Then again i ran Hoosier A6(295 fronts)
And A6 Hoosier rears 315's on the Z...

Awesome afternoon of street driving through some twisties
