No, no pix. Just an FYI in case you haven't researched it: MSD box = $325, distributor setup = $1k+. MSD box is fully programmable, has a 2-step, MAP, yada, yada...

Pretty sure the distributor kit replaces all the front end accessories. So whether you are starting with a truck, vette, F body or otherwise doesn't really matter. You will replace everything from the front timing cover forward anyway.

yeah i looked at it,its pricey but ive used msd products over the years with mixed results.sucks to be broke down 1000 miles from home when the msd box craps out.im leaning more towards just going factory fi right now anyways.

For what it is worth the MSD boxes for LS motors seem to be reasonably reliable. At least I haven't read many hate posts and some guys have quite a few miles on theirs.
With an LS motor the demands on the box are a lot less challenging then back in the CD ignition days. these boxes are only putting out 5V trigger signals to the coils instead of a megawatt explosion of current. Hopefully the lower power demands will let them live longer.
Now watch my box fry on the way home for having said that.

Use the billet ready-to-run distributor, no box, just a coil. The end cost is about the same but you don't have to worry about the box going out.

You'll end up with a lot more in the distributor setup bu the time you get it running. Just the front drive is $450, plus distributor, and coil, and some way to make the water pump fit. MSD 6010 is a lot cheaper.
