The cam sprockets are both 3 bolt . With 99k on her I would go ahead and put an LS2 timing set in ,,,,,,,,Rockauto Cloyes for an 2005 corvette $30 . And at Amazon (through Northern auto) You can get a brand new Melling 295 standard volume oil pump for $60 .You might need different length p-rods ,,,,,You'll need to measure to find out . If You do need different p-rods ,,,,Alex's parts $80 for hardened 5/16" .080" wall p-rods for LS based gen3 chevy small blocks . I'm putting an LS2 cam in My 5.4L he he ,,,,5.3L .030" over . LS2 cam is the same exactly as the 2001 LS6 cam except that the LS2 has the cam sensor in the timing cover so I bought a timing cover with the sensor in it from Rupperts used auto parts in Oklahoma for $35 plus shipping but I got the cam for $60 shipped so still a cheap upgrade . The LS2 cam sprocket is a little different than the pre 2005 but will work just fine in You're application . Not sure what You have planned for the motor but in the case You will be road racing with it You'll need a timing chain damper as that type of use the engine spends alot of time in the 3500-4500rpm range and in that range there is at least 1 rpm that creates a high frequency vibration which undamped breaks timing chains . I assume You're putting new valve stem seals also .
