Looks like GM is going to finally start running the Camaro in the Nationwide series. They should have done this 2 years ago if you ask me.

Not terribly familiar with Nascar but do people really care what body it has? Does anyone actually by more Monte Carlos or whatever because they see it on Sunday? I thought win on Sunday sell on Monday went out the window when they became fictional, generic cars

That's really what NASCAR is trying to get back to. They've been working with the manufacturers and teams to get the cars back closer to the real look and shape of the car but still have it where one car doesn't have a huge advantage over the other.

YOu should see the bitching on some other forums about giving the Camaro a redneck image by doing this. i see your average non-enthusiast person wondering why they have been running Impalas against Mustang/Challenger instead of being upset about Camaro's involvement.

So are they not gonna run the Chevy SS come 2013 for NASCAR?

The Camaro is just the Nationwide Series, the SS will be run in the Sprint Cup Series.
