well its a front mount gt4718, griffin radiator, water with a bottle of water wetter.

as far as thermostats, ive had

stock tstat
stock tstat with holes drilled
160 tstat
160 tstat with holes in it.
and now i hve no tstat atall

its better now than it has been, it seens like if it stays below 200* it will stay there, if it goes over that, it just keeps goin up and then sits and will stay at 230-232.

anyone have a similar setup that cools fine?
what fans are u running?

im about to give up here.

what fans are you running? pusher or puller? highway temps? bleed your system? air dam? figured i'd knock the majority of the questions out in one big swoop

with both my pushers, i am totaling 2500cfm. no air damn, forgot about that actually. it atually gets htter when cruising, i think bc being on the throttle.

one thing i have done, the coolant crossovers, it is tapped into the top of the waterpump, is that okay, i swore ive seen ppl do it before but wanna duble check.

If its stock location you have to run the air dam. If. Of it overheats at speed.

No air dam = overheat, all cars, no matter what.

Pusher fans = loss of factory shrouding design = lots of times will cause overheating or hotter temps

I use two EBay fans as pushers and have no overheating issues.

Put the 160 stat back in too and get that air dam back on. Ive heard from several sources that 3-4 bottles of water wetter instead of one will make a difference as well.

I was fighting overheating issues on my car and I will tell you what all I did and now it's cool...

I went with the bigger griffin vertical radiator than most use on here.. It's suppose to have 25% more cooling..
Went with 2 Derale pushers...(they are really as bad *** as everyone says!!)
Went from a meziere 35gpm to a street pump at 65 gpm
Put one of my custom alumnium air dams on it and directed it up a little more to help direct air towards the radiator..
Built a aluminum upper cover to cover the front space between the bumper and the core support so air had to go through the radiator
Straight water and 2 bottles of water wetter
No thermastat at all (as directed by meziere and griffin to aid better cooling)

Car runs around 180 now!

Let me know if I can help any

I am running the 2 Derale fan that everyone uses. I had to fan on last years set up that were total CFM what one of the Derale fans does and they didn't cut it.

No Air dam and 2 derale fans and the car runs around 180 no problems

What's the p/n on that bigger griffin rad. I might go that way if the air dam doesn't do the job

i know you have a griffin but here are mine on my stocke rad. they are staggered and i notched the bottom side(where the radiator sits) of the support because it sits a lil lower than the bottom the radiator. i obviously notched the upper rad support to get that top one to fit too, but hadnt done it yet when this pic was taken
