Just wondering if people have noticeable results. Doin one over the other. Also what size stall and how high are you'll launching at

when i had my P.I. 3400, id usually stall it to 2500 and then floor it. 1.49 60' on 12-11-11

with my circle D 5C converter, i usually stall it to 3400-3500rpm and then floor it from there. seems to be the best technique for me.got a 1.46 60' from it on 6-15-12

That's baddass I stalled it about 1800 I cut 1.66.I just put new slotted n driled rotors n brakes all the way around.becuz I tried it at 2500 but car wouldn't. Hold

If the car 60's better by "smacking" the converter off idle, then it's too tight to begin with, seeing as a converter will flash higher than it will foot brake too.

With my 10" edge 3400, I pulled numerous 1.54 60's with a 15-1700rpm launch, pulled a 1.52 by stalling to 1800, and I can foot brake it to 28-2900 easily. Waiting for cool weather and possibly try some 2-2200rpm launches to see if it helps the 60' any more

I recently went to track and flashed. It I only pulled a 1.8 60 ft so next time I go bak ill stall it as high as I can and see what 60 ft ipull

I have tried doing both several times and it seems to make no difference but the car is more likely to hook if I smack it from idle.

Not that any of my stalls were anywhere near what the average NA car runs but I always seemed to do better with slight throttle input (1k RPMS) and whacking the throttle.

So I guess its trial and error. Can't wait Togo back to track sucks that its 2hrs away

Was hooking 1.60's leaving off idle with an FTI 4400 with my stock long block with bolt ons...depends on the combo and the track...

Mine is about the same in the lower rpm range. But if I load up too high it will start to lift the ass of the car which makes it hard to squat once you release the brake....and less chance to hook like mentioned above.

Yank PT4000...I footbrake it til it bout pushes through the lights works best for me. Slows down when I flash it off idle.

I just did my pinion angle and my lca angle. It must been way off.cuz something would always hit the undercarriage around the back seat when I go through bumpy roads.now with everything. Set no more hitting or bumping on undercarriage I saw where yoke n torque arm wer hiting the floor.hopefully this will help wit my 60ft

How far off was your pinion angle? I get that noise with a passenger over big bumps, my cars lowered though.

4k stall, I leave around 2300-2400. Cuts 1.61 in summer heat. 2500 is little hard to hold at the light.

My PT4400 was the same, the higher I could stall it at the lights the better.

Flashing slows down 60ft by around .05-7...but could help hook on marginal track

If you got teeth on your track stall her as high as the brakes will hold...

1.281 60ft here with h/c na motor at 3k race weight...

Still would like to try and running dual rear calipers to see if I can squeeze a few more .01s :)...maybe if I get bored

Holding 3300-3400 with my SS4000 usually gets me around 1.50-1.52 on a good track, 1.54-1.56 on a less than great track.

Every converter/car/combo is different. One size fits all does not apply here.

My circle d 3200 liked to be flashed, prolly cuz it was so small

My 3800 edge hooked once by flashing and i did a 1.66. I might try stalling ut up next time

My PT 4800 liked to be stalled as high as possible without pushing through the brakes.

Yank SS 4000 Stalled between 2000 to 2700. Sixty foot ranges from 1.51 to 1.55! Pinion angle was set at 1 degree in past and reset it to 2 degress today!
