I did this awhile ago. I don't post on here much but I figured i'd share this for the hell of it. The car is an 2005 GTO A4 with 81,000+ miles on it. I have about 2,000 miles on the "build". Its a cam only build, stock 243 heads, Stock LS2 MLS head gaskets, stock LS2 intake, stock LS2 TB, stock trans with a stall. Here is my detailed mod list...

Engine/Performance Modications:

-Varram Cold Air Intake
-MSD 8.5mm Plug Wires
-NGK TR55s @ .050
-Ed Curtis LSX "StreetSweeper-XL" Camshaft (Actual Specs, Lift: 631"/612" Duration: 236*/240* LSA: 111)
-Comp Cams Rocker Arm Trunion Upgrade
-PAC Racing 1221 Severe Duty Dual Valve Springs Max Lift .650”
-FTI Hardened & Machined Spring Locators
-FTI Seven Degree Titanium Retainers
-FTI Hardened Seven Degree Valve Locks
-Steel Shelled Viton Valve Stem Seals
-ARP 134-3610 Pro-Series Cylinder Head Bolt kit
-FTI Pro-Series 7.400" Hardened Pushrods
-Morel/Lunati Link Bar Roller Lifters
-LS2 3-bolt 24X Billet Single Row, Roller Timing Set
-Melling Standard Volume, High Pressure Oil Pump
-ARP Crankshaft/Harmonic Balancer Bolt
-OBX Long Tube Headers 1-7/8" Primaries/3" collectors 304SS
-OBX 3" Mandrel Bent Catless Mid-pipes 304SS
-OBX 2.5" Mandrel Bent Cat-back w/ Straight through mufflers and tips 304SS
-Tuned by Abel Racing in Midwest City, OK

Transmission/Performance Modifications:

-FTI 9.5" Torque Converter SRLS0086 (3700-3800 Stall)
-B&M Super Cooler Polished Transmission cooler (PN:70265) w/ Steel Braided & AN-6 cooler lines

The results, it dynoed 406.16 RWHP and 370.52 RWTQ on a Dynojet at Abel Racing. Dyno sheet is posted below. Donno how well she did compared to others but I can't complain.

The the future i'd like to go to an SD tune to get rid of a few cold start quirks prob a 2 bar setup so i can run lower fan temps since she runs 185-190 degrees. Not sure if I should play around with gaps or not on the plugs. Prob add a catch can. Eventually i'd like to do a Fast setup and maybe some heads.

Are these unlocked dyno numbers? Pretty good for a stalled auto. Hows it drive. I got one of Eds cam going in my new motor.

Looks good. Built a few 05/06 stalled gto's like yours. The unlocked runs murder the dyno numbers.

Feel like an idiot but are you talking about the converter being locked or unlocked? I know when he dyno tuned it he didn't do any tricks to the trans to keep it in a certain gear or anything. He just started it up and gave her hell. Think he dd the WOT part in third gear. I have a couple dyno videos on my iphone. Now to figure out how to get them on here.

As for as how it runs and drives, it drives great! Can't even tell it has a stall honestly. It could easily be driven daily other than th rough idle which doesn't bother me a bit. :-)

Only quirk is starting it up especially cold I have to hold the revs to about a grand for about 30 seconds before she'll idle on her own. I believe alot of that is the MAF and the Varram. From what i've heard on other GTOs going with an SD tune cures alot of that. Plus if I go to a 2 bar map i can adjust my fans sooner than 194 degrees.
