First off, screw Top Gear.

Looks awesome. Maybe because I see a lot of Corvette in that car.

730 hp, great looks and RWD, all make for a fun, winning combination. 730 hp out of a naturally aspirated 6.3 liter motor, Good Lord!!! GM get 436 hp out of a 6.2, time to step up your game GM. Even with the addition of a supercharger in the ZR1, the Ferrari still makes a 100 more horsepower!?!

This car is a '13 model. Give GM time to respond.

The "Configure" section of Ferarri's website is up and running for this car. Fun to play and dream a little bit.

Before everyone gets their panties in a bunch over the 730hp figure let's not forget that Ferrari overrates the 458. It dynos the same as a stock c6z yet is ferrari claims it makes 570 flywheel hp.

Am I the only one that sees a lot of scion fr-s/Subaru Br-z in this cars taillights?

Well when they can sell a car for 350k it's a lot easier to push the envolope with there cars. I still thinks its more impressive that gm can make a car that sells for 1/3 the price that can out perform most cars. But the engine is extremely impressive for a factory car!! It kind of looks like a new viper too

The F12 is nice but I'd rather have the Aventador.

Me and you both. Only exception for me is the 430 Scuderia. I'd rather have it over any Lambo except the Aventador, Diablo, and Reventon.

I'd love an Aventador as well but Lamborghini's track record on reliability isn't quite as high (relative term) as Ferrari so that would be a consideration for me. I'm sure it's gotten better since Audi took over, IIRC it was the older ones I heard about mechanical issues...I'd still love a Diablo though too

If GM would stop dragging *** and use multi-valve heads, direct injection and intelligent traction control, they would be right there with Ferrari and Lamborghini. Imagine the next ZR1 being a naturally aspirated 7.0 liter DOHC, direct injection motor making around 700 hp.

Different philosophies. Ferraris rev out to 8k, GM's V8s only rev to 7k max. Look at the hp:torque ratios, as well. Ferrari is around 1.5:1 where GM is typically closer to 1:1. GM's engines are also physically smaller with comparable displacement. Their engines are more aimed at reliability and everyday usability. Ferraris are typically more about the screaming high revs. While the F12 seems to be a bit of a departure from that, with 90% max torque at 2k and not dropping off until redline, it still has a sky high redline compared to anything GM offers except the Z06.

Since this is out before the new viper, I would suggest the new viper is trying to look like the F12...
