Hello everyone, I live in pa and I.just bought a trans am in Ohio. It has 5800 miles on it and is the rare metallic purple. Only 446 this year in tjat color i bought it for $6100. Is that a good price? Also because I live in pa I need to pass emmisions  to do this I need a cat back. As of right now it is a catless. What kind of cat should I get? It already has hooker headers, and a trickey elbow intake, with 392 gears. I'm 19 years old and i don't have that much money to.spend. I'm yound and i.want it loud. How can.i make it louder without getting too expensive. What can i do.besides my headers and cat to.make it louder? Maybe a cut out? So my question is what can i.do.to.make is more raspy and louder without getting a whole new exhaust or cams. Thank youn

That sounds like a hell of a good price for the miles. A cut-out will be the cheapest way to make it loud. I had a Flowtech manual cut-out on my old Z-28 and I believe it only cost about $30 to buy it. I don't remember what installation was but it wasn't bad. The only downside was I had to reach under the car to remove the 3 wing nuts and over the years they rusted shut. Post up pictures if you can. That sounds like a mint TA.

You'll have some fun in that car. I had a 95' T/A except mine had 180k...haha
Cat wise I'd go with a magnaflow or try and see if you can just find a gutted one somewhere, I as well live in PA and I know they only do a visual test for a cat. Catback wise, can't beat Hooker for the price/sound. I had a magnaflow which was also good and loud however I had headers. But I heard a hooker on my buddies lt1 and it was nice. Good luck! :drive:
