TrailBlazer SS vs. STI
On my way to dinner with a few friends (4 adults in the truck with me) and this STI rolls up on me and matches speed with me. From 65mph he honks it off and I give him the hit and I walk him. from what i could see it was just him and a girl. well we slow and he wants to go from 45mph which is even better for me and my powerband and again I let him get the hit and I jump a car link. As he cruises by i roll down the windows and we all wave. His gf starts laughing and he gives me a thumbs up.

Mods? (just waiting for the haters to storm in here) Is this the same TBSS who beat the Mustang GT?
I'm not hating but, My old TBSS couldn't keep up with an STI from a dig or roll. I had CAI, headers, tune, UD pulley, cutout, 3200 stall, AWD, only removed spare & jack. I didn't lose by much though.
Either way good kill

Why is everyone so surprised? STI's aren't AMAZING cars. I know TBSS's are slow too, but STI's aren't anything to write home about. Not all of them are 600+ awd HP monsters. Plenty of stock slow STI's running around getting beat down.

Mine is pretty amazing... still slow... but amazing! But the fact that you can beat one in a truck with four people
tells me he was not modded at all. If anything, exhaust... thats the first mod everyone does to imports... or any car
for that matter. First mod on cars was exhaust...lol

I would love to get a dig run in with a mildly modded STI. Would be interesting to see if I could hold it off once it spools. I have great respect for the STI's that have been tastefully modded. Definitely a force to be reckoned with once they start upping the boost.

Tru...lol. Your sig says your making 330ish to the wheels. A true stage II(intake, exhaust, downpipe) and tuned STi should be right around you. My stage II had some meth added to it so i was cheating...lol. Your in Utah... is it 91 or 93 out there?
STI guy should have brought more! Haha

Just like Evo's...lol. The real truth is most of the WRX's(5 speed) blow trannies like the Evo MR(6 speed)... Most WRX guys upgrade to STi 6 speeds like the big power Evo's run 5 speeds. 2SS how is that new toy treatin ya?

She's being nice. I think I may have wrecked the front bushings already, and might have a bent drive shaft very soon, but it's hooking on the street like crazy. Did a 0-100 run in under 7 seconds on 6psi. Can't imagine how she will act on 12psi.
