Default fuel bucket for twin pumps

probably a dumb question but i've read all the threads on here that i could find and was wondering what is being done with this section of the bucket. are people cutting the entire center section out here? this is for the purpose of running dual pumps in the bucket. i didn't see any other way of the second pump fitting without cutting the entire section out but i might be wrong

I ended up using a brass 3/8 t-barb fitting and -6 braided hose with wormgear clamps. I trimmed out the bottom of the bucket until both bags could hang out freely but all the little feet stands are still intact.
