Gears & Axles - Need advice on rear

Hey guys i just joined the forums and and as a frequent lurker i'm sure you all will be able to help me out. I have an 01 trans am a4 with an ls6 motor, LT's and thats about it. My 10 bolt is whining and clacking on turns and i cant afford a 12 bolt at the moment. My only plans for the car in the next couple years are a f14 cam and suspension. I'm thinking about putting a 10 bolt with 40k on it and 3.23's in the car will it be hold for a decent time? I don't beat on the car at all and it leaves the garage about 3 times a week

Yeah man, why not? I wouldn't put any money in it and I wouldn't spend more than $300 or so, nor would I run sticky tires...but I'd think it would be fine.
