Default Strano springs stops braking nose dive?

so i am on the wall between cutting my front springs, or getting the Strano setup. i am more concerned about how much my nose dives under hard braking, and even sudden stops on the street. it has always bothered me and makes the weight shift very noticable, makes handling while braking very poor.

i was wondering if these springs will eliminate, or minimize this problem. also, is the ride much rougher with these springs?

It's probably your shocks that make the noise dive so much. Cutting springs is a great way to make your car ride much harsher.

it is not so bad anymore since i switched to Bilstiens, but it is worse then my lifted Jeep. it is not all the time, but it is noticeable enough that i want to fix it. do these springs help at all with that? more worried about hard braking, then going into a turn. all that weight transfer cant be good for handling

My car never had factory springs since I got it, and I don't remember the difference in the pro kit and stranos.. But, stranos are a higher spring rate than stock, so I would think it would help. Not to say it's the best fix though

Just get the springs and some better shocks. Your car will ride and handle better then stock. Or you can do a search, there's a million threads about this ****.

Strano springs will dive less. They are a higher springrate than you would get from cutting your stock springs.

Too much nose dive is probably undesirable. A little isn't too bad though. It all depends on how you want the car to transfer weight.

You should be doing the vast majority (if not all of your braking) before turn in. Some nose dive is the inevitable result of physics.

Re: Ride Quality

I have Koni's with Strano springs and it is one of the best/fav mods yet.

I was extremely hesitant to change to lowering springs because I didn't want a rough ride but with the Koni's on full soft for DC street driving it is very smooth and way better than the stock set up.

Re: nose dive
I did the C5 rotor upgrade and my car brakes hard and I've never had a prob with the nose diving or noticeable weight shift but I also learned to brake before a hard turn.

Mine rides better than stock as in it doesn't feel like I'm a boat... but I wouldn't call it smooth either. Def a harsher ride than stock still.

A lower center of gravity reduces all forms of weight transfer.
Minus for dragstrip, plus everywhere else. Except speedbumps.

thanks guys. i am starting to get into autocross over drag racing. more is involved and i can actually drive my car, instead or just trying to row gears for 10 seconds. i think one of my main downfalls for this idea is my car is cammed, that puts me in a pretty high category already. i am definitely gonna get these springs now.
