ive searched but getting mixed answers on this.

how much WHP will a walbro intank and walbro inline support?
this will be with a adj.FPR and return.(at 65psi) and 80lb injectors for a turbo setup.

thx in advance

There's a few guy's on here pushing 8-900 hp with dual in-lines so, I would think your idea would be comparable which is the way I'm doing mine. My idea is if the in-tank pump craps out I can "make" inline work to get me home. Maybe I'm paranoid.

Im debating using an intake and external on our mustang swap, or just using 2 externals with 10an to the regulator.

People say that even having an inline is as worthless as having a single walbro intank.
Idk how. On my EVO8 I was making around 600whp and had a walbro 255 intank with a inline pump on e85. Never did the pumps max out and it still had more fuel if it was needed.

If you run more than one pump in a series/inline, you will only flow to the engine as much as the last pump is capable of. However, if you run the pumps in parallel you will achieve more flow than just one is capable of, but not fully cumulative. A Walbro '255lph' HP will typically support up to 500whp at approx 60psi and in some cases close to 600, but that is pushing it. A dual/parallel set up will support around 750whp+

If you run 2 of the walbro intank pumps in parallel in the bucket can they both be on at all time?

Some people do it and say it works fine, most run it off a boost switch.

ive seen 640 rw with an intank and an inline

the head pressure gets divided over the two pumps inline, so for example at 60psi it will flow more like its only pushing on 30psi. definitely not double like with parallel.

Thx for your input.

MM, what do you think of both walbros in the tank being ON full time?
With a fuel return ofcourse.

people do it. i wouldnt.

idle doesn't need 1000 horsepower of fuel, all you are doing is making heat and being inefficient.

my 1200 horse trans am drove around on one walbro 99% of the time. 1% of the time i floored it and the other two came on without fail. (tho i always checked that they would before relying on it) still never an issue regarding triggering or the relay.

What do you guys use for check valves when you run multiple pumps ?

Thanks Gary

they are built in to the walbro pumps, probably on the aeromotive and deatchwerks version pumps as well but ask first.
