Looking to see if someone can recommend a somewhat local shop that is capable of properly swapping a 58x reluctor wheel for a 24x wheel in central MA.

Might check with Slowhawk and see if they can do it. if not, he may be able to point you in the right direction!

Don and his guys are great. If they can't do it, they will likely know who can :)

I know they're not local to you, but Street & Performance in Mena, AR. has done a couple LSX454's for our shop. We just box them up and send them off.

That would likely cost the OP at least a $75 ride each way plus the fix...

Yeah thats kind of the whole idea to find someone local, to somewhat keep the cost reasonable.

Lingenfelter makes a converter box so you don't have to swap the wheel, just add the electronics box.. Just a thought if you don't want to pull it apart or it's already in the car. .
Here's one for sale on another forum. I don't know the guy personally, but I have traded with him with good results.

Yea I dont think I have a choice, since the motor is apart was trying to go 24x from the get go but cant seem to find someone local to do it. Lingenfelter box it is. At least this way if I ever want to run an e38/e40 computer I still have the choice.

Hi Mika401; Maybe You could buy the tool and take it to a local machine shop. You will have to heat the ring or cool the crank but You will have to use the special tool. Ive heard mixed reviews about the conversion box. Give me a call and I will try to help 972-475-5656 Ask for Ron

I can change it but Im in NC. Its worth it to not have to run the converter box. shipping is not that much from Mississippi to here
