View Full Version : What exhaust to get?

I am pretty sure this is the week I'm going to get a new exhaust on my V. Right now it's 3" from headers back flow master super 40 delta flows. It's realll loud, and sounds great. But if you saw my other post, I live in a little redneck town and the John Wayne wannabe cops will follow you around for miles and pull you just because.

So I'm looking for something that sounds great, it can still be loud. I like loud. It has electric cutouts which I'm going to try and keep, so if I want excessive loudness, I can have that. But these superflows are crazy loud also.

Basically I'm just looking to tone it down a bit.

Also these 3" bump a rubber mount when shifting semi rough. Can 3" be fabed to not do that, or does everyone else have the same issue?

Any opinions/advice/experiance is much appreciated!

(I have a comp cam, patriot heads and pacesetters)

I like my Magnaflow. Mellow and deep and its a nice middle ground on volume.

Mine came with the car. I added teh cam and headers.

My youtube deal has it after headers(before cam) as well as a startup video.

I keep meaning to get more in.

Just tossing this out there. OBX headers, Kooks high flow converters, and a Magnaflow catback. I welded the converters into the catback, so I will not separate the headers. Paid $450 for the converters , $490 for the headers, and $700 for the catback. I want $1000 for everything, or $800 with a trade of your stock cat back exhaust. This is all bolt in, and will save you a trip to a muffler shop. If you are within driving distance this would work out well. I am located in NYC.

If you are within driving distance, and you need someone to do the install, maybe we can work something else out.

That does sound like a great deal.. Just I'm in MO :/ shipping that would be a huge pain, right? And that's a no on the meth kit?

Awesome! That's basically what I'm looking for.. Any chance you could cut me a deal if I take both off your hands?

Unfortunately I'm no handy man. At all. So I have an appointment with a shop here tue to fix a bolt on my rear diff, check some grounds, and maybe a tune for me. I'll see if they have anything in-house and check prices one day this week. If they can't do anything for me, I'm very interested.
