OK well we bought this 2002 firehawk on our wedding day and now she wants to sell it, because of hospital bills.

2002 Firehawk A4
68k
black/black

Needs repaint on lower rocker, and of course roof partition.
also need window motor/regulator.
Car looks great.
New tires, rims, shocks and springs in rear.
What should we ask and what should we let it go for?

I am first going to advise to try and keep the car because it could eventually cause a strain in the relationship if you are dead set against the sale. If you don't mind selling it, no problem. That's different but it sounds like you are putting this potential sale on the wife and bills. I've seen sports cars or muscle cars sold against the husband's wishes far too many times and it burns them forever! Resentment is nasty business. If you were in dire financial straits and owned a $50,000 car then the situation is quite different, but we are talking about a Firehawk with very little collector value due to mileage and condition. It won't fetch much more than a WS6 at this point which would be in the $13,000 neighborhood. The Firehawk name might garner another $1,000 - $2,000 if someone loves the car. Will this money really alleviate the financial situation?? Think about it. If you sell this Firehawk (unless you don't want it anymore) you won't be seeing another nice car for the next 18 years unless you have something else already.. That generally is how it works unless you come into some nice money. Men deserve happiness too. Best of luck to you and your family. I hope it all works out.

13k is what were are hoping to get. We are in a tight spot. But 6 months from now and we should be fine, and will regret selling it.

I hate hearing that but I do see a Corvette and SS in your signature. If you have those cars as well then the sting won't be too bad. I think you will get that $13,000 or very close to it, if you would be OK with that. Again, best of luck with the sale.
www.autotrader.com will be the best audience for your Firehawk unless you don't mind the 'tirekickers' and 'lowballers' on ebay.
