Default starting problems after weight reduction head and cam

hey guys i just stripped the car took out dash to take out all the ac suff. brought the motor down for head and cam swap 241 ported ms3. mostly every thing is back on the car except power steering ac compressor and all the other ac stuf. the ground under the car on driver side is on. the both tower ones on pass are on. the three behind the head on driver side on, and the ones on each corner on the dash are on. all fuses are good everything looks good.

now when i hit the key motor fires, but doesn't stay on. it fires for about a sec and dies. i have fuel pressure and obviously have spark. i have tried holding the throttle slightly open to see if it will rev but no luck at all. one thing we think might be the problem is the factory alarm. the light is blinking tried unlocking the car with the key and nothing. my tuner told me that it might be the alarm and that he can disarm it with his tuner.

what do u guys think might be the problem im pulling my hairs out here.

thanks in advanced

problem solved last page is the answer here's the vid

well i had a tune for the stock head cam nitrous set up. but i haven't tuned for the new heads and cam. iv seen most people just getting and starting the car untuned. they just hold the throttle slightly. fires and dies right away id thought sense if fires i would be able to keep it alive with the throttle.

VATS...if your tuner can't tune it out, it's time to find a new tuner.

VATS will let it start then immediately die.

Does the security light stay on with the key in the on position? If so have your tuner turn off the VATS (anti-theft system) as others have stated.

You can bypass the system with the correct ohm resistor.

VATS will let the car start and then die.

Yes, Radio Shack will have the resistor(s) & they should be able to ohm your key as well.

It's a very common problem on these cars.
