Cadillac CTS-V - LS2 Throttle Body to LS6 Intake Question

Seeing as my ported LS6 Throttlebody appears to have taken a dump I've ordered up an LS2 as a replacement, here's what I've got on the way:

LS2 Throttlebody: http://www.ebay.com/itm/320624624044?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1934wt_652

Adapter Plate: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221075198433?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_2379wt_730

Wiring Harness: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370630798008?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1500wt_804

My question is anybody have any tips on how to take care of the coolant line that runs through the LS6 throttle body as well as the hose that comes out of the passenger side valve cover and connects into the LS6 Throttlebody?

I'm thinking of checking home depot for some sort of sprocket or hose adapter that I can modify my K&N intake tube to accept and checking the auto parts store for some time of coolant hose connector where I can just connect the two hoses together.

Any leads or tips would be greatly appreciated!!

you have the right idea.. run the valve cover breather to a nipple in the intake tube.. and get a double barb and run the two coolant lines together.. done

My throttle body has rubber caps on two little extensions on the underside of it. Didn't see anything else out of the ordinary. What does that mean? They were plugged up when I got the car and it appears to be a P&P job.

You have an LS6 throttle body? Those extensions sound like where the coolant line run through that I was speaking to.

Sweet, thanks! On my way to auto shop now to look for a nipple.

I'm hoping I can slide by without another tune for a few months until I can scrounge together done more cash for a FAST intake. Darkman on the other Cadillac forum said he ran his with an LS2 for a year without tune, but we'll soon fond out! Haha

I see no legitimate reason why such a small throttle body change would really require a tune.

Yeah pretty sure a slightly bigger throttle body can be adjusted with a simple idol relearn, that's what my tuner told me to do anyway. Long term looking at new intake next month and tune after that.

Your going from 78 to 90... Not a huge difference but sometimes cars are weird and don't like certain things. Mod hell my friend

Yours are most likely plugged up because you live far enough south you don't have to worry about a frozen throttle body. It's actually a good thing because in theory it lowers your intake temp.

Aha, thank you! Car is originally from South Florida.
