Default Rim and Tire Combo Help Needed

I have a 99 Formula LS1 with 18 inch TSW Catalunya Rims, they are silver painted and look like this

Currently they have 245/40z/18 sized tires on them and i need new tires all around. I definitely want to step up the size of the tire, they have an 8inch back space so i think i can fit a 295/40z/18, in the rear and a 255 up front. However im not sure i like the look of the rim i mean they are okay, i also have a set of c5 rims that need to be re chromed and also need tires. What do you guys think would look better? And What size tire do you recommend for front and back? Also anyone have pictures of NBM trans am with vette rims?
Thanks!

The width of your rims are important. I would think that if 245's are the right fit on them, that they will not properly hold 295's.

I personally think 18" is too much. I see people with these 22" rims, and I think it's tacky. I like the 17's on my WS6, my tires are 275/40/17. This is about as much as is acceptable to me.

Think about the diameter change, how it affects your speedometer, acceleration, etc?

i would stick with those vs the c5.

i'm running a deep dish vette rim fro OE wheels...c6 i think.
255/17 on the front and 295/18 on the rear.

i think they look great and fills up the wheel well really nice. i also did the heater hose mod to drop & level the rear a bit, which helped.

to make the rear a little more flush with the fender, i also have a spacer. It's not needed, but i liked the look of them out a little more. i also had to do a little grinding, but it was minor and totally worth it.

the overall height is very close to stock and i didn't have to change the speedometer. i have the hypertech tuner which would allow me to, but they were close enough to leave it be.

Thanks Paul, i see that the 255's are actually bowed in a bit. Im thinking i might go 275 all around so i can rotate the tires as well? Any ideas

The premium wheel for the 2002 TA is the 275/40/17. They look like a proper fit to me.

Hey Wild, do you mean premium tire? That's not a wheel size.

The maximum rear tire is a 315/35/17.

So considering i have an 18 inch rim than i would need a 315 with like a 30 side wall. Which is pretty small. Plus i dont think it would work with my offset
