What are all of your thoughts on a cam without heads and long tube headers? Is it worth the time and money? What kind of gains could I expect to see with, say, a TR224? I would probably go with some high flow cats, 3" y-pipe, and I have a hooker catback. I'm using a bassani off road Y right now but I'm having issues with clearance against the drive shift and I really dislike the idea of even having the potential of it rubbing. There has been an instance or two under hard cornering of it hitting and I want to make a change to that ASAP. I would really prefer to use long tubes as well but since I live in California, I don't feel like removing them every two years and at least a cam isn't visible. Let me know what you all think.

do a search for cali cams, this kind of question always comes up.

i'd keep the duration 220 and under w/ no head work or headers.
