Multimedia Exchange - 436rwhp with cam/bolt ons

Car has stock untouched 241 heads, ls6 intake, and pnp stock Tb. Full exhaust with cats, cam and lid. That's it. Longtubes, custom y pipe, Slp lm2. I'll post dyno sheet later. 02 ws6 m6 with 3.42s on 10 bolt, no track times yet still need better tires and weather before that.

What cam is in it? Sounds badass!

It's a hydraulic roller, 2100-6800 rpm with 110+2 LSA.. I'll have to find exact specs on duration later tonight. Runs great but it's just good for racing, the huge lift makes it a pain to stop and go a lot. Car was tuned by Redline performance

I was pretty amazed at the numbers, it's probably due to the giant cam, but still the shop it was tuned at said it was the highest cam bolt on car they have ever seen. :drive: With a set of heads it was only going to gain maybe 30rwhp so cost vs hp ratio didn't weigh out when it's running like it does on stock heads. The rims are 19x275x10.5 and no they don't hook for sh!t. They look damn good tho when clean, car is lowered about an inch as well. Not much tire on the wheel, but it will soon receive a set of skinny/fat slicks for a couple passes at Gateway when it cools off. Hopefully the rear end holds up, car only just turned 80k miles, I think it's got a couple hard passes in it on the stock gears. 4.10s would probably kill it, not to mention be really annoying with the cam

Why would 4.10s be annoying? Is this a 6speed? atleast 3.90s are needed with a "donkey dick" cam. Its only commons sense.

Yes it's a 6 speed, with a z06 clutch and stock 3.42s. Donkey kick cam is a great way to describe it, very different from my stockish z28. So the shorter gear ratio will make it not buck so bad under 20mph? The main reason for the stock gears was to save the rear.

The rpms have to be around 1900-2k to take off smooth..the tune is nice I love it when WOT.

Any tuner can tune a car to make power WOT, a good tuner goes beyond that. Tell him about the bucking that cam has to be MASSIVE if it bucks alot. If you can share some specs im sure some members will point you in the right direction.

What rpm are you turning it. 4.10 may be to much gear. With that kind of power you should be at 120mph+/- in the qtr. With a stock height tire @ 6800 I could only go 122 beating on the limiter to get threw the trapps. 3.90 or 3.73 also holds up better than 4.10. Nice ride!

Honest with a big cam car and a m6 4.10s make such an improvement,it will help alot in the lower rpm range,those are beyond great numbers,i would like to see the dyno sheet as well, was that dyno giving an extra 25 hp that day lol

Some helpful info, any mod you will do will make such an improvement, get some 4.10s that will help a ton, honest my car was a different car with 4.30s vs stock m6 gears1 7/8th headers and a good dual exhaust will help the car pull alot harder,my tsp duals made a sotp feel over my previous ory catback setyp,also fast setup will help as well,with my ms4 car every lil mod made such a difference, how high did you guys spin it to?also what was your injectors at?

FWIW i've seen 45x made with a LS6 cam and ported 241's... made 430 on a stock 04 LS1 cam.

what are the corrected numbers ? Get some tires and come play with some of the cars in st. charles well see how it really runs.

i have an ls1 motor with a fast 102 intake 92 mm tb, 30lb injectors , a k&n air fuel injection thing, 5.3 cnc ported and polished heads, a comp cams 228r cam and spring and pushrod set, it has yella terra rocker arms and pace setter long tubes with a or/y pipe and hooker exhaust, all running through a built t-56 tranny..... What kind of horsepower will i be looking at? thanks im fairly new to all of the ls stuff

Sorry took me so long to get back to you guys, been crazy at work ect.. The cam is a tsp torquer v3. Don't know about the correction factor, sorry. Car runs great I can say that much, having owned 100+ built cars in my 35 or more years restoring and building bikes/cars. Not the fastest out there, but for what it made it's quick. I really don't have time these days to go cruise/race but when I do I'll just take it to gateway so I really know how it runs.

The exhaust is QTP longtubes, custom y pipe with cats, and Slp lm2 catback with 3" tips
