Run w/o it and you'll figure it out pretty quick. Goes in the lower rear LH corner of the block, more commonly known as the "barbell". Redirects oil flow through the filter and into the cam journal passages.

Correct Me if I'm wrong but the barbell goes o-ring end towards the rear of the block .
