Default 1995 LT1 into my 1963 Impala info needed

I need help. Im trying to put my LT1 into my 63 Impala. I know its a old swap but I have a complete swap out of my wrecked K5. I have the motor laying in the motor bay but the mounts aren,t lining up. I have stock 1963 V8 frame mounts and the stock V8 motor mounts from the 63. What do I need to buy or modify to get this LT1 in there and mounted.

The lt1 uses stanadard SBC mounts. If your impala had a SBC in it then those mounts should bolt up.

Can I guess the passenger side is the issue?

My Dad swapped a 97 LT1 into his 64 Impala SS, I don't remember him having any issues but I'll ask next time I talk to him.

The passenger side stock LT1 mount sits back farther to make room for the AC compressor and the compressor uses one of the traditional mount bolt locations in the block. At least with the b-body mounts you just flip it over and use the front 3 holes.

96 caprice is corect. If u are using the front 3 holes on the passenger side, those are the AC bracket holes. Slide the mount back and mount it up. I have done the same on a swap of my own once.

That depends, if he wants to use the stock passenger side frame mount/location on his 63 Impala and is OK with leaving the AC off and getting a delete pulley then he can use those front holes. If he wants to keep AC he needs to move the passenger side frame mount back and likely hammer the crossmember to clear the compressor.

Here is what my dad said:

None what so ever. Once you remove the stock LT1 mounts and install the old style small mounts, using the forward bolt holes, it lines up perfectly.
