Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - need info?

just bought a 2001 trans am pretty stock, headers,3 inch exhaust, no cat, guy said previus owner tuned it,took out plug n it had tr6 plugs gapped at .035 one step colder in it, i know this is colder plug should i put in tr55 gap at .060 im gonna get a programmer should i wait on plugs till i get programmer, and what programmer should i buy?car runs ok just seams a little slugish.

hp tuners is awesome but you have to know how to tune. Diablo predator works good. you get the hand held and pc interface and tell diablo what you have done to your car and then send you a tune for your car and you just download it to the hand held then just plug it into your car and its that simple. Id look around or wait for others to respond cause i only have experience with the 2. You can also see real time data, data log, see trouble codes and clear them.

It my understanding thay tr55 should be at .55. I have read anywhere between .40-.60 tho. I gapped mine at .50 an called it good.
