LOW OIL LIGHT!!! Replaced sensor wont go away

Default LOW OIL LIGHT!!! Replaced sensor wont go away

just like title says I replaced the low oil sensor and it still wont go away, the wires looked fine, any ideas???

If you replaced the sensor there might be a break in the line somewhere. Was it a brand new sensor or used? Jump the wires together and if the light goes off that will let you know that its not the wires and the sensor is bad. Otherwise i would find a diagram and Ohm the wires to make sure there is no break. Silly question.......your not low on oil are you? lol

no I just changed it and added 5 and a half quarts. the sensor was brand new and the one that was in it was replaced 2 years ago.

You think it could be the connector itself?

I got more seriouse problems going on than the low oil light right now so I am not to worried about it, I changed the oil because I have at op end knock and wanteded to see what was going on and I got quit a bit of metal on the oil drain magnet. so Im pretty sure i got a bad lifter that took out the cam.
