Carbureted LSX forum - Which transmission for Fox?

I finally determined that my local built TH350 is a POS, it already burnt the high gear clutches out. Now I'm on the hunt for a new professional built trans. Will probably go with PTC or Rossler Transmission. But, wondering if I should go with a TH350 or a power glide. The car weighs 3020 with me in it. It will be mainly a bracket car. I like the idea of the glide for consistency, bit will have to change my rear end gears so that is another expense.
My big issue is I don't want to sacrifice ET.

I just have love for a 3 speed playing. Not to mention, 3 speeds are super cheap for me.

I would also run the TH350. Really light cars use the glide because those cars are so easy to get out the gate. At 3000 lbs with driver I don't think your light enough to not lose time with the glide. .Definitely easier to time one shift than two so you will usually be more consistent with the glide TH400's in footbrake are overkill IMO. I use nothing more than a shift improver kit and upgrades in my trans and never had a problem. Its when you start using manual valve bodies and trans brakes is when its usually time to move up to the TH400. The TH350 will take the beating the bellhousing won't.

I always run braided steel in any of my swap cars with a auto, solves all your problems as far as fitment and they can flex making install a sinch and many cuss words unneeded.
