Used Textralia Exoskel twin disc, has less than 10k miles on it, but exact mileage is unknown due to the previous owner installing it. It began slipping at 3/4+ throttle in the upper gears about 500 miles ago, and I decided that if I was going to pull the trans I would put a new clutch in it. After talking to Jarrod from Textralia, he was convinced that the dowel posts needed to be machined down to step the clamp force back up. When I pulled the trans, I confirmed this. He said the newer (post 2007) exoskels had shims to remove to step the clamp force back up. This was an older style. There is supposed to be around .110 gap between the pressure plate and the top of the dowels. This one was around .050. The dowels have been machined down to around .100 and everything now is in spec. The clutch discs are supposed to be .310 thick, and these are between .290 and .295 with lots of life left. If I had to guess, I'd say they're 50%. See the pics.

I replaced this one with an LS7 clutch which is a little more forgiving. This is just way too much clutch for my needs. Jarrod from Textralia says that they will rebuild the discs for $200 a piece, this clutch is designed to be serviceable. This is $1200+ brand new, save some money!

$550 shipped to the lower 48, $500 picked up in Winston Salem, NC. PM with any questions, thanks!

Brandon

Here's some more pics. These are both discs, measured on each side. I didn't think there was alot of material left until I started thinking about it. The discs were supposed to be originally .310, which is total thickness. These measure right at .294 total thickness, which is only .016 gone, or .008 from each side. I think they're actually better than 50%, but you'll have to use your own judgement or email Jarrod at Textralia to see. I have no idea what they looked like new to compare these to.
