My car is ideling at 1200-1500 rpm. idk what is causing this, im guessing that it is either

1) my car has open headers and the pcm is telling it to idel that high to work off the extra gas

or

2) i did the traction control relocation and my throttle cable is in need of readjustment

or

3) i have no idea... everything has been messing up lately

help

Do the easy checks first, check the throttle cable, if the throttle blade is left slightly open it will cause the idle to raise higher.

I agree, sounds like a pinhole leak in an intake seal or something.

so i need a new gasket for my intake then?

Not unless you've determined that's the issue. Vacuum leaks can happen I'm many places - have top find out if that's what's causing it and where its located

Wait, what kind of car is it? Why do you have open headers? Where are your O2 sensors at?

I have open headers because im awaitin my true duals to arrive. I have front 02s. Not rears tho

What kind of car is it? I suggested the throttle cable since you had mentioned that you had messed with the headers and that the throttle cable needed adjustment. Was the car idling that high before you did those 2 changes? A vacuum leak can do it also but if the car was idling fine before.......
