The Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series is on the property!
The LSX Challenge Series is back for 2012 to be contested at four events this season, ending up right here in Indiana with five awesome racing classes. The LSX Challenge Series is the premier racing series for street-based vehicles powered by Chevrolet’s LS and LSX engine family. All of the racers that are in points competition will be laying it on the line at this event, as it’s the last chance to solidify their place in the standings or clinch that class championship they will spend all year working towards. Also, the event will mark the final chance for all of the racers in the Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout to make their mark upon the LSX community for the 2012 season. With five awesome race classes filled with the baddest LSX cars in the land, the LSX Shootout has grown leaps and bounds since its inception. Check out guys like Mike Meeks, Mike Brown, and Mark Carlyle at the LSX Shootout! The LSX Real Street class, LSX Rumble class, and 5th Gen Camaro Challenge class also finish out their 2012 action in Indy. info at www.nmcadigital.com

edgar, you sure the chrysler can run 15 seconds. You could show the rickey kid, how its done in efi with the vette. He's been doing well.

No I am not sure it will run 15 but it sure would be a nicer drive there. I have seen a couple of 200's listed on drag times, just under 15. this is a convertible with hard top so would be a little heavier.
I have not had the vette out all year...don't even know if i would remember how it works let alone cut a light :(

Edgar, don't be stingy. Rob needs it so he can dream of capturing a pair of championships. Plus you get the luxury of brew chiefing and pointing out all the things he's doing wrong

Yeah! Edgar think of all the. Set at the trailer calling your name. Then there is the grill. The grill would need a friend like you for the weekend. You know I am pulling the trucks out from under my sleeves for the last couple events.

same problem..we cannot share a carTrue, but he can use your car for LSx Rumble and then use his own car for EFI Rumble, even if you enter EFI Rumble with the same car that he'd be using in LSx Rumble, right?

No Marc. A car cannot be entered in more than one class regardless of the number of drivers. I know we did it some years ago with me and Steve sharing my car but we come to find out later, that is against the rules.
As much as i want to see Rob with both these titles, I don't think I can help

Of course that would be a logistical problem anyway if the two drivers sharing the car end up going multiple rounds.

That's the issue. Double entering brings up the issue of running the schedule behind when the late rounds are involved and one driver is running more than a single entry. What is the fair amount of time to wait; cool down, etc. I've seen NHRA do it years ago when a driver has two cars in two different classes, but in that case he was back to run the second car/class less than ten minutes after the first final. Second car was already in the lanes ready to go, he came back on a scooter and literally jumped in and went.

I see where this might be a problem but each driver knows he has to make the call and on the flip side, I don't really see what the issue is with switching order if needed, it is not like we index racers have never been stranded in the lanes while another class or 10 are run to catch them up to schedule.
But alas, dead horse I beat until the day this is allowed

Here we go:
I ran 4 classes in one day. I made a pass, drove back to the lanes and did not exit the vehicle for about 45 minutes due to the round Robin. I knew I had to be there, I never complained because I made the decision to do it and I knew what I needed to do.
If the NMCA allowed running two classes with swapping cars, I would have someone drive up the vehicle and have both vehicles in the rear of the lanes. I really don't think anyone would complain since you should not be late. If going into the finals. I am they can switch the run order to give those running two classes the chance to drive back to the lanes after the run.
I think it would build a class or some classes in car count. I think the negative points that are brought up are minor and could be worked out.
I am still searching for a car for the last event. Any ideas? Anyone driving to the event and not racing?

I am still searching for a car for the last event. Any ideas? Anyone driving to the event and not racing?I'm trying to think of ways that it could be done but nothing seems to work...even if I were to 'sit out' LSx Rumble, after driving all the way out there I'll still want to do LSx True Street (which is also no charge to enter if we're already entered in Rumble so I'd lose out on that awesome '2 for 1' deal :nono:) with the car but that still doesn't help your situation as you'd get like no seat time in the car.
Unless... :thinker:
True Street does usually finish up before the first/only qualifying round for LSx Rumble, not sure what the ruling is on that one.
Hmm

I believe they have allowed people to do that where they run true street; as soon as it's completed the last of three runs, the driver goes and buys a tech card for the heads-up class that he or she want to run, get teched for it and make the a qualifying pass (usually the final one on Saturday afternoon).
