Here's a pic of homemade motor mounts, bushing is made of teflon. They are gonna replace my collapsed CS mounts.

Now I just got to order lifters, trays, dowel pins and a pushrod length checker.

Probably won't be doing the install until fall sometime, but figured I'd post up a teaser.

Yella Terra user here. Whats wrong with Yella Terra's ? Why should he be worried ?

Yes I was worried about the YT rockers, well after I ordered them anyway. Only then did I read about failures. Tony Mamo who I ordered them off said these are 3rd gen rockers and they are good enough for his car.
From what i have read the failures were a quality control issue from batches from a few years ago.
I'm running a stock cam for now and my spring rates should be below the threshold. So lets pray.
I would have stayed with stock rockers and a trunion upgrade but AFR uses bronze valve guides and I didn't want premature wear to be an issue.

Lolly did you get the thick valve cover gaskets for your YT's?

Just let it be noted, there were several cases of the YT rockers actually snapping apart, same goes for scorpion. Are these still issues with todays batches?
The stock rockers with a trunion upgrade is the way I would go, but as Tommy has pointed out, if your sweep is large (high lift) with stock rocker type, it will wear out the soft bronze valve guides prematurely, and rollers relieve that geometry side stress...

If you have some bucks.. Jesel wont let you down.

Tommy: Powdered metal not an option with the AFR head?

Im in the same boat. Trick Flow 215's with bronze guides. Every manufacturer has failures that get posted on here. You have to read all the reviews for all of the brands and decide what you want to go with. I just got stock ones. Do they hit without them?!?

If so, where do I get them?

very nice... I run the AFR heads as well. 225 was the biggest back when I bought them but with all the port and polishing they are probably 255's now lol.

have fun!!

Tommy: Powdered metal not an option with the AFR head? Not 100% sure but no where is it mentioned as an option, so I assumed it wasn't.

They are suppossed to clear, but when I asked Mamo he wasn't sure. I picked some thicker YT gaskets from him.

Stock valve covers will work with no issues and no thicker gaskets are needed as well
