Default Le2 cam specs

Just got a lt1 cam le2 236/236 .600 .600 107 lsa.

Anyone with any idea if this would be suitable for at least a 200 shot nitrous? Tried calling le no luck yet

generally SBC cams are dual pattern with more exhaust duration, and then generally a nitrous cam will have extra exhaust duration.

It will work but you could do better.

Just because someone else will say it for BIG shots of nitrous often a wide LSA is used, a 200 shot does NOT warrant that. I would suggest open headers or short extensions with a single pattern on such a tight LSA with nitrous though. Try and run that through mufflers with the spray less than 3" dual and I think you will choke it.

So it's an all motor cam would require a high stall?

107° lobe Sep. Is not an N2o friendly cam at all. More N2o would come out the tailpipe than what what would actually be injested by the motor. That cam on a 110-113 would be sweet....
As it sits with those specs I would use that cam in an Lt1 with 11.5-12.8:1 compression and good heads.

Blah blah blah. Caprice is right with the exhaust advice. If it had a 224 intake lobe would everyone cry foul? No! Advance the cam a few degrees, like a 104ICL and it'll run fine. Explain why you'd want the tighter LSA with a higher compression motor with "good heads"?? Seems you're a bit confused. I'd run some stiff springs with that.......... at least a 1520X from PAC.

So by advancing it and follow the open exhaust advise 200 is doable? It would be cool if I can use it with nitrous

It'll do fine on 200 with mufflers and the cam retarded... it's not essential or critical. But advancing it and running a good header and tuned length collector will help ya get the most out of the combo.

I'm going with kooks 3" true dual exhaust system. Le trickflow heads and 24x conversion. I'd say my exhaust would be decent. Might just keep the cam in now. Got a th400 3800 stall I'll see how she runs when it's time

I dunno. Seems like a lot of work to end up disappointed in the end. I would listen to these guys. They haven't steered me wrong from day 1.

There are mixed opinions from what I can see, Once I get a hold of Lloyd I'll post some feedback. I do agree with caprice and wicked, it isn't the best cam but if I can make it work I'd save a good chunk of coin

According to Lloyd this cam would pull from 2500-6500 rpm on stock heads and would take a good dual valve spring setup. Idle would be very agressive (DUH) and it would take steep gearing and stall if auto. I didnt ask him about N2O tho

He didnt seem to excited to see me asking about it lol. I asked him how it would do and he was like "it'll be a cam" lol

I was looking at the cam also but decided not to take it lol

I've got a 3800 stall coming and that probably explains why I haven't received a call back lol. I like the advise I got from here, with the 24x system hope I get to tune it spot on.
