Corvette Performance - 2011 Grand Sport.........oil to use........

I remember there were Vettes in the past that were required to use Mobil 1 synthetic......or the warranty was voided by GM. NOT SURE HOW TRUE THAT IS.

But what type/brand oil and what weight should be used in a bone stock 2011 Grand Sport (LS3).

Thanks....not my car, its my girlfriends car. She needs an oil change and had no idea their might be a specific brand/weight for warranty reasons till I mentioned it to her. I told her to hold off till I found out.

you are not required to any specific brand, only needs to be fully syn and 5w-30 in weight. Per magnuseon/moss a manufacture cant require a specif brand of oil unless they intend to provide that oil at no cost to the consumer.
