Paint & Body Work - Thoughts on a grabber blue T/A

So im ordering paint for my T/A tomorrow. ive got a few colors im debating but the top of my list is grabber blue..

Yes i know its a ford color but my first car was a 66 Mustang and ive always loved grabber blue. also there isnt a single grabber blue F-body that i know of.

soo heres my question

Grabber Blue with Black accents
just redo it NBM
Black with blue stripes
classic lemans blue

I've always liked grabber blue also. I say grabber blue with black accents. If you have a ram air hood, I think gloss black or flat black stripes would look sick

So its basically going to look like my photoshop of my car that I did for you. This was that lighter viper blue color. I'm pretty sure the Viper has metallic. That would look much better than grabber blue IMO.

With grabber blue, definitely do the mirror, sail panel and CETA black, just solid black. I believe that blue is a solid color.

yea Light viper blue would be nice but NOBODY on here or anywhere that ive seen has a Grabber Blue T/A or camaro. Its all about being Unique. and Grabber blue is a solid color

Grandma had a Grabber Blue Maverick back when they were New & I didnt like it then either!!! Find another color like the Lemans Blue in the poll or the 1st gen blue Camaro color was really lite Kinda like the Pussy Pink Ford has, Belongs on a Ford!!!

Everyones going to have their own opinions.. its my car and i already ordered materials. its going grabber blue. unless somthing happens with my order. in which case my backup color will be Tru Blue Pearl..

I personally like Grabber blue. if you dont like it your more than welcome to your own opinion.

BTW i will be adding about 50 grams per gallon of Indigo Pearl either in or over the paint to give it a nice effect so its not completely solid and plain.

My 5.0 will be grabber blue when I get one. Not sure how it'd look on a TA but I'd love to see it.

DO IT!! grabber blue is sex!

paint is here... Decided agenst Grabber blue... i just couldnt trust what shade it would be.. some have too much teal in them and some are too powdery...

Went with HOK TruBlue pearl instead.

Glad you decided against grabber, it is an awesome color but it also looks too retro for a t/a IMO

the paint you picked it badass. my old 2000 GT was grabber blue. sure did love the color in the sun

Well car was sprayed TruBlue Pearl ill post some pics once i have it put back together and wetsanded

some wetsanding... need to finish putting it together and finish wetsanding and polish.. the back bumper has issues too so i need to respray it... damn dry time was 4x longer than it should have been

Nice blurry pics from your dad. I only wetsanded like a sq. ft. on the quarter and on the door too. Came out great like a boss! Shouldn't take but a day to do the majority of the car once its back together.

Oh and your paint is just a pubic hair lighter than my ballin' paint....copy cat.

Nice choice! I love the HOC Paints especially the candys and pearls.

Ya... i dont have that car anymore.. got offered 8k cash for it. Sooooo it has a new owner. I have a Silver 98 SS hardtop now with arctic white interior. im in the process of fixing it up now. needs the hood and wing resprayed (leave it to SLP to do a crappy job of painting) and the driver seat needs upholstery.. going with the silver with white leather accents and some green LED gauges and white dome lights and other green accents... similar to McNords car was when it was white.. just some green here and there to accent everything.

I will give you mad props on going HOK instead of the Furd color :) Mines gettin Kandy Red at tax time Takes awhile when your buildin a Complete Car from A to Z :)
