Im currently building a 65 nova, backhalved, 315/60/15 drag radial, powerglide, all steel except hood, full interior street car. Im building a 6.0 with 4 inch stroke callies crank, 6.125 rod, pistons and cam have not been selected, have a set of 823 heads about to be worked for whichever cam i run. Do plan to spray around 200-300 on it (fogger) if needed. Need car to run 8.80 range 1/4 mile. Also it will not be fuel injected!!!!! Any suggestions on cam selection and piston selection? Bore size? Which valves to use in the 823? Do assume i will probly run solid roller? This car will not be a trailer queen and will be driven on street. Have not bought stall yet due to no cam selection. Rear gear will probly be around 3.73- 3.90. I need input from someone that has tried and proved what works for this type of application. I called a shop other day and talked about cam selection, his words were our expertise is in fuel injection but let me "look in the book to see what will work". Not quite what im looking for..... Any help?

Off the top, if compression is at 11:1 or so, a custom grind will be needed, 254/258 duration @.050, .610/.620 lift on a 110 LSA, the rest can be spec'd but by the cam grinders, but that is the neighborhood of what i believe will be pretty much a damn good motor cam and the nitrous will love it as well. Hydraulic roller of course.
