a4 or m6? a4 is roughly 18-20% drivetrain loss and m6 is roughly 15%

Keep in mind, this is all roughly estimated. As rpm's and speed increase, parasitic loss will increase. Only real way to know would be to strap it to an engine dyno, unless you know exact coefficient of friction for every wear component and it's non linear relationship with speed and rpm, its nearly impossible.

Friction is a function of normal load applied, and is not related to speed. It is fairly linear, even in drivetrain loss. Here is a graph to show the difference from a BMW M5 engine and chassis dyno.

From what I've read and calculated, my guess with m6 is 12-13% drivetrain loss. I think it's fairly accurate. for A4s I'd say around 16 or 17% The 4L60E trannies don't eat up power as much as A3s do and most ppl get 18% from a 350 tranny and 20$from a 400 tranny. 400s are more beefier so you lose a little bit more compared to a 350 tranny.Modern-wise, 4L60Es not so much as A3s.
