Default Jesel SS Rockers, Make then adjustable?

I was looking at my Jesel SS rockers, they are 1.7 non-adjustable. I was thinking they already have a small cup that goes all the way through the rocker for the pushrod to sit on. Could I remove that and tap it and use a small allen headed set screw and a lock nut on the top of it just like you see with adjustable rockers? Just a thought

I wouldn't. Not a good plan. Just spend the $$$ on a good set of adjustables.

You could, but I sure as hell wouldn't risk it. You don't know the engineering involved. Most use an aluminum extrusion of some sort, but you have no idea what stress points are present or any of the other engineering that has been done. Not to mention, you void any type of warrenty or support from the manufacturer.

Just get a set of T&D or adjustable Jesels and call it done.

Unless you're a mechanical engineer or experienced with modifying valvetrain, don't try it.

No you can't. Adjusters are very critical when it come to machining and the heat treat specification. When I worked for a rocker mfg. the heat treat company could make and break you with the quench on adjusters. You need to run the rockers as is or buy a set of ajustables. Remember no more then 1 full turn out on an adjuster, and more and it side loads it.
