Will this work as well as the Katech tensioner?

Angie,

Is it exactly the same diameter as the stock pully, because I replaced my radiator hose with a flexible chrome hose and it comes about .25" from the hose. Just want to make sure it clears.

Thanks

This should just be the pulley, not the tensioner (i.e. katech or stock tensioner).
Remove the bolt on the stock pulley your using and bolt this in its place !

I would also expect that it be the exact same diameter... We'll see soon, I put my order in this morning.

What about those with belt slippage issues that use the ASP tensioner pulley is there a replacement version for them?

Our tensioner is the same diameter as the stock plastic piece and is designed to just replace the plastic pulley. The Cap does add about 3/8 or so of an inch toward the front of the car.
It is designed to mount tt the stock spring tensioner. Fitment on other aftermarket tensioners assemblys was not checked.

Hope this helps.

is it a solid tensioner, it looks self adjusting, like stock, which a lot of people with more horsepower have issues with the belt coming off, now maybe if there is a bigger lip on the pulley that issue can be resolved.

nickn20,

Our pulley just replaces the stock plastic pulley, The actual tensioner is the
stock piece on your car and you reuse it. We are not selling a whole replcement tensioner. But, yes we did make the outer edges a little taller and thicker than the stock plastic pulley.

Hope this helps.
