When it comes to this kind of build I am very uneducated. But as for the Z06, is the LS6 not the better engine to do that ridiculous of a build? Monstrous cam, high compression, and race gas. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also isn't that LS3 intake holding him back as well?

He blew the last motor on bottleso he went with a 6.0 block build. Car will be sprayed soon. Yea stock ls3 intake and unported l92 heads (they are only milled)are holding him back a good amount, i bet he could pick up 50 or so with some porting to the heads and a fast 102.

why so much compression lol. I put down 506 rwhp at 22* of timing 12.4 AFR with 11.2cr with my TFS 225cc Heads on pump gas on my ls2. Just seems a little extreme to me. SICK but a little extreme.

Pretty disappointed in the Z06.... The 240 though is a good little runner for what it has...

A near 14-1 comp, race gas 370" and 244/248 cam with LS3 top end only making 485?? Something isnt right there... Even if thats the case, thats still 60hp more then the 240 makes and they can't be that different in weight... Looks like they run about even or maybe an edge to the 240...

I had the car on the dyno with the street tune 12.6-12.9 AFR it made right at 480 i added a degree and made 485 had 31.5 at the time and left it at that. Now since then i did add another 1.5* of timing but havent hit the dyno i honestly think and told him there is a few things holding the car back. I bet with a GOOD set of heads and a more friendly 93 octane CR and a fast 102 it would do close to the same numbers it does now. Gotta realize they are unported untouched l92 heads besides the milling and a cam choice more towards that would help.

Thanks on the 240 the car was def fun to build and i think is setup very nice. I'm wanting to soon do a fast 92/92 and a UDP and maybe crack the 450+ mark on a dynojet.

Damn I didnt realize the 240 was that light..... 400lbs difference will definitely eat up a 60-75hp advantage for sure....

Yes I just read the LS3 heads are stock...That has to be the bottle neck.. Although with what they flow stock, I still think it should have made a little more but..... Sometimes (most times actually), they never do what we "think" they should do.... That has always been my case...

Atleast he has a good foundation and can slap a top end on it and pick up 50-60hp probably.

I agree with you problem is alot of people think the l92 heads do great now they are a decent head but in a combo like this they are the issue i think.

Yea it doesn't take anything crazy to get a light car to move out well. This is a fun platform for sure with a ls.

I think with the extra weight the vette ran ok. I would do a fast and some head porting though to make the most of the combo.
