I recently purchased an 04 V and noticed there isn't an aux connection. I was wondering if anyone has modded their stock stereo or if there's anyway of adapting an ipod connection.

I have both an isimple from best buy and a pa vette 15 (current). Def recommend the pa vette. It plugs into the xm receiver and uses the xm1 input.

^^^ what they said if you're not on a budget. Otherwise... Stock Bose isn't too bad and the stock navi is the only thing that looks nice in the dash. I'd def do the iPod kit though and replace the stock sub with a decent 10" or 12" sub in the trunk. Stock sub sucks. If you're not into audio, it might be ok for you though.

I'm definitely switching out everything except for the headunit. Thanks for the input.

I did this (http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/auxaud-noswitch/index.html) and it sounds fine; less than $10 for the audio cable. Also, to make the install cleaner AND reversible, I used Posi-Taps (http://www.posi-lock.com/posiplug.html).

Just do the above but just slice into the wires, don't leave the stock ones for XM disconnected. Apparently you can keep your XM this way and switch XM to channel 0 for your AUX signal. I wish I would have seen that, now I have to go in and reconnect those wires.
