Hey guys, weird thing happened yesterday. Drove about 5 hours on a road trip then made a few stops. After the last stop I started the car up and it died immediately. I started again and was able keep it running by giving it gas but as soon as I let off it died again. I got the car going by keeping the revs up and coming off the clutch. For the rest of the drive whenever I came to a stop light the rpms would drop to below 500 and it felt like the car would die. Also the oil pressure dropped to about 20 psi.
Car is a 2000 trans am m6, with only light bolt ons, 59k miles.
I am thinking the iac valve is bad but wanted to see if anybody else has heard about anything like this. Thanks!

I would start by cleaning your throttle body and throttle body blade with some carb cleaner. They can get carboned up and will cause your symptoms. It is alot cheaper than replacing your IAC-

Have you changed the fuel pump? If it is a stocker it could be on its way out.

this also happened to me recentley. was a 7/11, car ran fine, came outside to leave and car was hard to start and died afew times and had to give it gas to keep it going. car IS throwing an SES light but has for a long time. car has f13 cam, LTs blah blah blah. recentley sea-foaded it. car sat for about a year while trans and rear were rebuilt.
