Default Replaced regulator motor and switch and window will still only go down.

Does anyone know what else I can try i have replaced the regulator, switch, plastic retainer under the switch, the wire connectors and the motor and the window will still not go both up and down it will go down but to make it go back up i need to take apart the retaining plastic piece and switch the blue and brown wires then press down on the switch and the window will go back up happy as a clam. The controls on the drivers door will not control the passenger window as well. I feel like I am missing something stupid......

Are you wired up stock or have you done the Shoebox mod?

Do you have access to a volt meter?
If so, measure the voltage at those wires. Does it show +12V one direction and -12 the other direction?

What kind of "regulator"? Where did the part come from? If you didn't get a Dorman brand part, odds are probably 95% that you got a reman part. If you have a reman, its very possible its a dud.
